TRIP SIGN-UPS:
-May be made at the annual membership picnic, at regular membership meetings or by contacting the Trip Captain. Sign-up is on a first come, first served basis.
SIGN-UP REQUIREMENTS:
-Must be a member of the Kaiserslautern-West Pfalz Ski Club or another U.S. Military sponsored ski club.
-Members under the age of 18 desiring to sign-up for a Kaiserslautern-West Pfalz Ski Club trip without at least one parent or guardian on the trip must have a sponsor over the age of 21 on the same trip. Written permission from the parent or guardian must be submitted to the Trip Captain by the trip closing date. Appointed sponsor must have a medical power of attorney and proof of full medical insurance for the individual.
Members of the Kaiserslautern-West Pfalz Ski Club may bring guests but the member will be held accountable for any debts incurred by the guest that are not paid.
TRIP LISTS: The Trip Captain is responsible for maintaining two lists per trip:
CONFIRMED LIST: Used for persons having paid the minimum deposit for a trip space.
STANDBY LIST: Used when the confirmed list is full. To be placed on the standby list, a deposit of 25 Euro is required. Spaces are filled on the confirmed list up to the date of the departure of the trip. Members not moved to the confirmed list will receive a full refund of their deposit.
CHANGES/REVISIONS:
-Kaiserslautern-West Pfalz Ski Club trips are based on an anticipated minimum number of participants. If this minimum isn't reached, the trip could turn into a U-drive, or be canceled.
TRIP PAYMENTS:
-A minimum deposit of 50 Euro per person is required to reserve your trip space. Trips are priced in Euros but payment may be made in Euros, dollars, or by check. The conversion rate will be set by the treasurer and will normally be slightly less than the official exchange rate.
REFUNDS/DISCOUNTS:
-All deposits/payments will be refunded if a trip is cancelled by the Kaiserslautern-West Pfalz Ski Club. Members who cancel prior to official Kaiserslautern-West Pfalz Ski Club cancellation are subject to normal cancellation procedures.
-Children may be eligible for a discount when residing in the same room as the parents. Refunds will be returned following final closure of the trip and after the hotel bill is received and reviewed by the treasurer.
-All refunds will be paid by Euro check and must be picked up in person at the scheduled Kaiserslautern-West Pfalz Ski Club meeting unless otherwise coordinated with the treasurer.
-All refunds not claimed within 60 days after the trip will be considered null and void and the funds will be returned to the treasury. No refunds will be paid after 30 June. This allows the books to be closed out between ski seasons.
BUS DEPARTURES:
-Unless otherwise announced, busses depart from the Panzer Kaserne parking lot at the scheduled time. Missing the bus is not sufficient justification for a refund.
